The focus of the agency is to provide a full range of communications services. We build and execute advocacy campaigns, which understand how to communicate with stakeholders in the language they use and the channels they access. We do this to improve the reputation of our clients, with a strong focus on issues management.

Kate Lord - Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

  

I have 15 years’ experience as a communications executive, working with multinational corporations including; Shell, Microsoft, Intel, and Samsung and in the Federal Government, leading the communications and stakeholder relations team at Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and led a communications project for the Prime Minister on veterans employment. 


I have managed senior executives, including leading the Royal Dutch Shell Board on its tour of Australia and managing events with Cabinet Ministers and other business leaders. I have appeared before Senate Estimates and acted as a media spokesperson. I am also trained in crisis response and have led communications activity in crisis situations.


I am an experienced writer and editor, having drafted strategy documents, market announcements, messaging documents, speeches, articles and key messaging documents. I also have won a number of awards and was elevated to the global leadership team in the capacity of future leader.


I have been recognised both internally and by industry for my work with awards including the Australian Media Federation’s b2b campaign of the year, an international bronze sabre for media placement and Shell’s internal impact award for best communications activity across 30+ markets.

Mark McCallum - Co-Founder & Chairman

  

I have over twenty years’ experience in leadership, high-level corporate advocacy, Asia Pacific strategy, governance, Ministerial level government engagement and public affairs.


I bring a strong balance of skills and perspectives, with a detailed understanding of the key drivers for business success in Australia, as well as an extensive active network in Federal and State Governments and key policy and business influencers in Australia. 


Prior to co-founding Harry Communications I was the Australian Head of Government Relations with multinational energy company, Shell. I managed reputational and political risks during a significant reprioritisation of Shell’s global investment portfolio at a time of significant political and social volatility towards the oil and gas sector. 


I have also been Deputy CEO of Australia's peak oil and gas industry association – APPEA – leading the policy and advocacy arm of for 5 years, and have held roles in peak resource industry representative bodies, and within and as an advisor to the Federal Government. 


Throughout my career I have looked to partner business drivers with policy priorities - seeing the bigger picture and bringing about mutually beneficial outcomes.
